Payroll Specialist Job at KFC Responsibilities
- Supporting Payroll Manager
- Assist with legislative changes, upgrades & system requirement testing.
- Review and challenge system processes for improvement.
- Assist with resolving system & operational challenges.
- Help with tax year-end tasks.
- Assist with updating procedures to comply with SARBOX.
- Monthly Payroll
- Process and pay monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
- Handle new starters, leavers, bonuses, contractual changes, and statutory changes.
- Generate validation & exception reports and GL files.
- Reconcile and submit PAYE & NIC for tax year-end.
- Address queries related to P&L and create internal accounting journals.
- Salaried Restaurant Payroll
- Process and ensure accurate weekly payments for restaurant employees (approx. 7000).
- Import hourly worked data via RMF system.
- Handle new starters, leavers, personal and contractual changes, and statutory pay.
- Ensure compliance with UK immigration rules for ID and work permits.
- Generate validation & exception reports, GL files, and labor reports.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and P&L queries.
- Create internal accounting journals.
- Miscellaneous
- Maintain compliance with various regulations like SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, student loans, PAYE & NIC.
- Handle external inquiries from HMRC, DSS/benefits, mortgages, copy payslips & P60.
- Reconcile payroll control accounts.
- Process 3rd party payments & reconciliations.
- Implement NMW (National Minimum Wage) increases.
- Manage various import routines for salaries, bonuses, etc.
