About the Role
- This is a fixed-term/secondment position for 9 months.
- You will be responsible for vulnerability scanning, monitoring cybersecurity systems, and working with third parties to ensure compliance with best practices.
- You may be required to deputize for the Cyber Security and Compliance Manager.
- You will act as an escalation point for cybersecurity incidents and develop cybersecurity awareness materials.
- Travel across BCUHB sites is required.

Cyber Security and Compliance Officer Job Responsibilities
- Vulnerability scanning and monitoring of cybersecurity systems
- Working with third parties to review compliance with best practices
- Deputizing for the Cyber Security and Compliance Manager (as needed)
- Escalation point for cybersecurity incidents
- Developing cybersecurity awareness materials for the ICT team and the organization
- Implement, maintain, and enhance security within the Health Board’s ICT infrastructure.
Cyber Security and Compliance Officer Job Requirements
- Experience with antivirus, malware, SIEM, firewall, IPS, patch management
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape
- Working knowledge of the Network and Information Systems Regulations 2018 (advantageous)
- Experience with implementing and supporting an Information Security Management System (ISMS) (e.g., ISO27001, Cyber Essentials+) (advantageous)
- Ability to speak Welsh (desirable)
