Housekeeping Assistant Job Responsibilities

  • Make sure the assigned guest rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and maintained to a high standard.
  • Maintain the tidiness of public areas
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests
  • Respond promptly and politely to guest requests and complaints
  • Assist guests with retrieving lost items
  • Replenish room amenities (linen, towels, toiletries)
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture
  • Empty trash containers and ashtrays
  • Report any technical issues or maintenance needs
  • Assist other departments as necessary
